PKI and Surrogate Plotting Scripts
Run these scripts from the repository root with the project environment active.
They write figures to paths selected with --output. The rendered figures used
by the submersion model overview are kept here with
the plotting sources so that the published documentation is self-contained.
Model and energy comparison
python docs/plots/compare_submersion_models.py \
--output submersion-models.png
This creates a common-scale map comparison of physical dispersion, regulatory
G-14 pseudo-dispersion, and Ar-41/Tc-99m surrogate-equivalent dispersion. A
second submersion-models-profiles.png file shows the plume-axis profiles.
Exact PKI profiles and timing
python docs/plots/plot_pki_plume_slices.py \
--output pki-profiles.png
The four panels compare local dispersion, ENSI G-14, exact PKI, and the surrogate for Ar-41 and Tc-99m, both on-axis and at a fixed crosswind offset. The source plane and upwind region are included. Increase the three quadrature orders for publication calculations.
Surrogate validation
python docs/plots/plot_surrogate_validation.py \
--dataset path/to/prepared/dataset.npz \
--preprocessing path/to/prepared/preprocessing.json \
--output surrogate-validation.png
This script requires the prepared dataset and split metadata from the training pipeline. It plots stratified parity, phase-space residuals, plume-relative offset residuals, and energy dependence using the packaged model by default.
